What does it mean to be a Member?

Members who face extreme financial hardship can apply for a monthly waiver of dues. Alternatively, members can also obtain voting rights by volunteering in at least two activities in the previous six months. For more information, please contact info@ChangePeoria.org.

Voting will take place at least once a year for Members in good standing to help decide the issues that Change Peoria works on.

​

To be a member in good standing, members must either pay their dues or complete their participation the month before voting. To ensure a democratic process, members must have joined at least 30 days before a vote to participate.

Members are expected to respect each other and are welcome to bring ideas and issues to Standing Committees and the Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee may terminate the membership of any member for cause at any time.
 

Change Peoria

At Change Peoria, we believe that the best way to serve our community is to be part of it. That’s why we work with you to raise awareness and address the issues that are important to you.

We are a grassroots organization that relies on the support of our members to carry out our mission and core values. By becoming a member, you will have a voice in our decision-making process, access to our events and resources, and opportunities to network with other like-minded people.

As a member, you are also expected to contribute financially to the organization. Your membership dues help us cover our operational costs, fund our programs and campaigns, and support our partners and beneficiaries.

​

We understand that everyone has different financial circumstances, so we offer a sliding scale fee for our membership dues. You can choose the amount that suits your budget and reflects your commitment to our cause.

​

Membership is open to residents of the Peoria Metro who agree with the mission and core values of the organization and may become members in good standing. 

​
