Peoria Park District Ad Hoc Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)

PURPOSE:

  • The CAC helps the Park District communicate with the people it serves.

  • The CAC members give their personal opinions on community parks and recreation. They don't speak for their organizations.

  • The Park District can better understand community needs with help from the CAC. This helps them carry out their mission.

  • Fifteen members, who must be Peoria Park District residents, make up the CAC.

  • The President of the Peoria Park District Board appoints them for one-year terms.

  • Members may be re-appointed for two total terms of service.

  • To be fair, each part of the district should have a balanced membership.

    • The Southern District will have 2 members.

    • The Central District will have 6 members.

    • The Northern District will have 4 members.

    • There will be 3 members at large.
